Northern California's best Hare Scramble returns in full force this March. The premier Hollister GP track, epic single track, flowing trails, massive hill climbs, gnarly ravines, and much more.Â
The Phantom Hare Scramble is the premier Hare Scramble in Northern California, if not the west coast. The event has been running since 1997 at the Hollister Hills SVRA in Hollister California 100 miles south of San Francisco. The event consists of two days with adults racing on Saturday and youths on Sunday. For Pro and Intermediate (AA/A/B) racers the race is 2 hours and usually between 15-20 miles. For Amateur (C) racers the event is 1.5 hours and usually between 12-15 miles. Youth races on Sunday vary from 15-1 mile depending on age and skill.
The Phantom is renowned for being one of the most challenging courses of AMA District 36 Championship. The course includes lots of flowing single track, fast two track, gnarly hill climbs, sketchy downhills, obstacle courses, and the legendary Hollister GP Track. No matter your riding style, you will find the Phantom to have something for you.
To register, you must have an AMA and AMA District 36 Membership, 1 day memberships can be purchased.
It takes a lot to put on great events, and the Phantom is no exception.
